The truth is that every time another photographer asks me to photograph her own family I have an internal freak out. How can you not? Candace is a great photographer in her own right, so when she asked me document her fourth baby at home I was over the moon! Having another photographer trust you with her own newborn photos is one of the biggest compliments.

Also, 4 kids! As much as I love quiet newborn sessions with just 2 parents and a baby, I sometimes crave the chaos that comes with large families. When 4 kids are involved, there’s nothing you can do except go with the flow, so it’s a good thing that that is what I already do while making newborn photos. I take all of my cues from the baby and siblings, and we sort of just float through the house capturing beautifully real moments as we go (including a lot of bed jumping and coffee for the parents!).
