Feb 1, 2021
Looking back on a year like 2020, it can be easy to see all frustration and unwanted changes. But, when I went back through my archives last week, I realized quickly that there was so. much. good.
There was families laughing together.
There were brand new lives.
There were puppies who were thankful to have their people home all the time.
There was new, wobbly first steps.
There was neighbourhood adventuring.
There was city exploring.
And.
There was a hell of a lot of love.
One of my absolute favourite things to do at the beginning of each new year is to make a recap video of the past year. It’s a way to relive some of the best moments with the families who trusted me with their memories, and it’s a way to see my own progression throughout the year.
2020’s slideshow looks a bit different as there were months of not shooting at the beginning of the pandemic and then more months of only outdoor sessions. And, through it all, I was there….behind the camera, mostly masked and having a great time reuniting with past families and meeting new ones.
Here’s to 2021.
